Socials

"My drinking club has a hockey problem!"

One of the main advantages of mixed hockey is ... well it's mixed. You get to meet all kinds of people and as current members we all pride ourselves on being easy going and friendly. We encourage diversity and although our socials do tend to involve drinking it is not a necessary in order to have fun. We play many games within our socials that are all designed to get every member involved.

Even though mixed hockey is a fairly new club when compared to others on campus it already has its own distinct traditions. You will get to meet our club mascot, "Winston", who is not only one of the longest serving members of mixed hockey but also still manages to attend nearly every social.

We have both traditional and off calender events. Traditional events are those that happen year on year.

Similar to the Christmas formal but well...it is the end of the year.

Mixed Hockey Annual General Meeting (AGM)

This gives the members a chance to vote for the new committee and therefore the future of the club. It is usually followed by an impromptu social that includes some karaoke.

Off calender events
These usually include some form of fancy dress, but we are not going to go into details of what they entail because of course we have to have some aces up our sleeve. The easiest way to find out is to become a member.
